Violet is One!

The first time I photographed Natalie and Garrett was at their wedding. Fast forward ten years, and I have now had the honor of photographing each of their 3 baby girls as a newborn and throughout their first year! We finished up Violet’s baby bundle for her one year session at a coffee shop! So much fun to use this unique backdrop. I love all the pretty bokeh the lights created, and the colors that Natalie dressed everyone in were perfect! After the coffee shop, we stopped at my studio to do a few studio shots, including the watermelon setup for her birthday invitations. And you absolutely CANNOT miss the last series in this post…scroll down to see!

At Natalie and Garrett’s wedding in 2009, we took the first photo, on the left. Natalie asked me to re-create it at Izzy’s 1st birthday session which was also the year they celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. She remember to have me take an updated shot this time, for their 10th anniversary! So fun to see them all together.

Sara + Aaron | Expecting

I took Sara and Aaron’s engagement photos a few years back, so I was really excited to hear from Sara again when she contacted me to tell me she was pregnant! We did a quick Homestead Session to announce their happy news, and Sara brought lots of cute accessories. We are doing her maternity session next week, and I can’t wait to see that bump!

Bastian is One!

This little Christmas baby (click here to see his newborn photos) turned one in December, and with the rush of all things holiday, we decided to wait until January to do his photos. His parents opted for a downtown session, which I loved! Baby Baz (he will always be Baby Baz to me…it just flows so well, ha!) wasn’t too interested in standing still, so we mostly just chased him around the whole time! He’s such a happy kiddo and his big brother loves him soooooo much!

Kirstyn + Craig | Maternity

I met Kirstyn and Craig for the first time back in December at their maternity session! Even though the leaves had all fallen off the trees and it was an overcast day, we found a gorgeous spot and I LOVE how these turned out! They are super laid back and easy to get to know. Their sweet baby girl was born in January…so stay tuned for her newborn session post! She is DARLING!

the Morales Family

This was our last session in our Baby Bundle for little Bennett’s first birthday, and it has been so fun to see this family as they have gone through so many big milestones! I was honored to photograph their engagement + wedding, and now both of their boys first year. Grandma and grandpa came along to the session and jumped in a few photos as well. The highlight was bringing out the old dump trucks for the boys to play with, and getting a little ride on a sled from dad at the end!

Evie | One Year Old

Isn’t this the cutest family!? Even though I mentioned this in her 6 month post, I just can’t get over Evie’s transformation from tiny 5-pound newborn to this awesome little chunk. Her cheeks are my favorite thing. Evie didn’t have any smiles for me during her session, but you gotta check out the studio portion of our session to see some of the faces she gave me. It has been such a fun year, and we are extra thankful for Evie’s health after a recent scare she gave her momma and daddy. Evie is one special little sweetie!

Lyla | Six Months Old

Do you see this cute little nugget! Gah, she’s just the best! I was absolutely obsessed with her newborn photos that we did, and then she was so incredibly smiley at her six month session back in December so I’m just a melty pool of goo over this little lady. It was even a nice enough day that we were able to sneak outside for some family photos here at the homestead before getting to the studio ones of Lyla alone. I’m sure her first birthday session will be so much fun too!

the Flamings | Family

One of my favorites!! These people are just the BEST. Kind, generous, funny, and just plain fun to be around. Everyone please to look how amazing Danielle’s hat is! If only I could pull that off like she did! It kinda stole the show…don’t tell the others haha. We had a gorgeous sunset that evening, and the funniest part of the night was the kids reaction when I told Britt to kiss Cole. As you can imagine, they were totally grossed out but she still did it! Love! 🙂

the Londons | Family

I had done a Baby Bundle with this sweet family for little sister’s first year, and then Amanda booked a homestead session with me for fall family photos…I think this session is my favorite of all that we’ve done together! The light was to die for, big sister had her awesome personality out in full force. Little sister wasn’t too excited about being put down so she didn’t get many photos alone, but I still absolutely LOVE how these turned out! Enjoy!
