The last time I photographed this family, there were less brothers, and the ones who were there were a lot shorter! So fun to see them again and to take a few senior photos for the biggest brother, out here at the homestead. So crazy, we used the wheat field next to my house and as you can see in these first photos, it was just beginning to grow. They just finished harvest in July, which makes me realize just how behind on blogging I am! Enjoy these crazy brothers!
In February, we had our semi-annual photo session with the Mirakian family! I have lost count of how many years it’s been that I’ve been photographing these boys in my studio, but we plan to continue the tradition til they’re 18! Always a chaotic and fun time with all the outfit changes and convincing the boys to gimme the REAL smiles! 🙂
I haven’t completely won Claire over yet with my charm and exuberant personality (lol)…but if we keep hanging out, I’m convinced I can! Her parents tell me that she’s got a more serious personality anyway, so they were happy even though we didn’t get too many smiles out of her. We had gotten some frost the day of their February session and it made the homestead look so pretty! We grabbed a couple family photos outside to take advantage of that, and then finished up in the studio! This is the sweetest family ever, it’s been fun getting to know them throughout Claire’s first year!
Three months is a notoriously hard age to photograph babies…they’re not the sleepy, squishy newborns anymore, but they’re not yet sitting up. However, sweet little Walt made it so fun! He and his family came to visit me back in January, and I totally love the sibling shots we got. He also flashed us his super handsome smile quite a few times. The funniest part was trying to fit him into that little baby bed in the black and white photo, he was totally not into it ha!
Sweet Murphy Quinn is one! I hadn’t met this family before this session, but it was love at first sight, ha! They are the sweetest people and I loved hearing their story and the story of this sweet girl. Her momma came with all kinds of cute props and a couple cute outfits, and we spent our time celebrating Murphy! Her smile just makes you melt!
This little Christmas baby (click here to see his newborn photos) turned one in December, and with the rush of all things holiday, we decided to wait until January to do his photos. His parents opted for a downtown session, which I loved! Baby Baz (he will always be Baby Baz to me…it just flows so well, ha!) wasn’t too interested in standing still, so we mostly just chased him around the whole time! He’s such a happy kiddo and his big brother loves him soooooo much!
This was our last session in our Baby Bundle for little Bennett’s first birthday, and it has been so fun to see this family as they have gone through so many big milestones! I was honored to photograph their engagement + wedding, and now both of their boys first year. Grandma and grandpa came along to the session and jumped in a few photos as well. The highlight was bringing out the old dump trucks for the boys to play with, and getting a little ride on a sled from dad at the end!
Isn’t this the cutest family!? Even though I mentioned this in her 6 month post, I just can’t get over Evie’s transformation from tiny 5-pound newborn to this awesome little chunk. Her cheeks are my favorite thing. Evie didn’t have any smiles for me during her session, but you gotta check out the studio portion of our session to see some of the faces she gave me. It has been such a fun year, and we are extra thankful for Evie’s health after a recent scare she gave her momma and daddy. Evie is one special little sweetie!
I always love my time with this sweet family. Twins are just fascinating to me, and I can’t believe how much these twins have grown since the first time we did photos…I think they were 2? Crazy!! We decided to try a location with a more urban vibe for them since that’s not something we’d done before. Thanks for the fun afternoon Hamm family!!
