Back in March, I got to meet and photograph the awesome team behind Homes by Keely! My husband has photographed and videoed several houses that Keely has sold, so I’d heard about her and it was fun to finally meet her. We started out at a GORGEOUS model home, and then finished our time downtown at some super bright and fun Wichita murals. Love the vibe we got with these!
In February, we had our semi-annual photo session with the Mirakian family! I have lost count of how many years it’s been that I’ve been photographing these boys in my studio, but we plan to continue the tradition til they’re 18! Always a chaotic and fun time with all the outfit changes and convincing the boys to gimme the REAL smiles! 🙂
We just took Delaney’s 1 year photos this week, but these are from her 9 month session back in February! We had some snow on the ground and I was so glad we were able to take a few photos out in the snow. That little fur vest?? Adorable. I always love seeing this sweetie and have loved our year of sessions!
We had this cutie’s 6 month session back in February…hard to believe he will be one in just a few short months! Glenn is so happy and sweet, and his big sister Eleanor is totally in love with him so she was excited to be in a few photos with him. We lost the shirt after some major drool, and it was all for the best, because I mean…look at those awesome baby rolls! I had so much fun capturing all of his cute expressions!
This is probably one my most favorite sessions to blog of all time! And possibly the longest newborn post ever. My nephew Caleb was born in January, and my mom and I flew out to Denver to meet him and stay with my brother + his family for several days in February. We had so much fun snuggling with him and hanging out with his big brother and sister. Caleb was a month old, so a little older than I usually photograph newborns, but since we were staying with them, we could kinda follow his schedule to get some of those sleeping poses. We took a more lifestyle approach to most of these and I’m in love! Be sure to see my mini-me in action, posing her teddy bear like a newborn. <3
I loved this silhouette because you can see the mountains out their bedroom window!
My niece Selah was watching everything I did intently, then we found her wrapping up her teddy bear and posing him in the box we had been using for her little bro. After awhile I let her come take some photos on my camera of her brother, and she did a great job! She would’ve taken the camera away and done her own thing if I’d let her!
And because I’m obsessed with her face, here’s Selah in her princess dress. 🙂
This face! I just love it!! We did Pryor’s 6 month session mostly in the studio, with just a few snowy photos outside at the end! I love that he often has his tongue sticking out (just like his big sister did when she was a baby)! And this go-round went so much better with big sis! Last time, Harper was NOT interested in taking photos with her brother at all. This time, she did so well! We were so excited. We will be doing his first birthday session this summer, and I can wait to watch the two of them together!
Ohhh Frankie. This was such a fun session! We got to use my new rug in my studio for a backdrop (which I hadn’t done before and I LOVE!) and we got to go outside for a few snowy photos! Keep in mind, this was back in February. This little girl is so loved, and her two big brothers are quite a bit older than her…but it’s so fun to see them with her. Be sure to scroll down to see a few “before and afters” of this sweet little lady! And don’t miss the snow ones at the end!
That’s her big brother’s finger she’s grabbing. SO sweet!
Frankie’s daddy is a lineman, so for her newborn session, we did some lineman photos. Here’s a fun little collage of her newborn photo right next to her six month photo.
And another because I’m a sucker for these!
Elsie reminded me so much of my own babies! She was pretty much the same weight and length as my oldest, and floppy like my boys were. Just something about her was so sweet and familiar! And she did so well during her session. She slept through just about everything and looked good in every color. Big bro Cooper surprised us all and was so sweet and loving for his photos with her…don’t miss those at the end. Such a wonderful session!
As you may know, I don’t photograph seniors anymore. However we had originally scheduled a family session for Celia and the rest of her family…but then they couldn’t make it so we focused our time on Celia! It was so fun getting to know her and her mom, and we had some great temps for it being the middle of February! Her dog was so funny, he kept shaking…I think I made him a bit nervous, but it was so fun to include him in Celia’s senior photos!
I haven’t completely won Claire over yet with my charm and exuberant personality (lol)…but if we keep hanging out, I’m convinced I can! Her parents tell me that she’s got a more serious personality anyway, so they were happy even though we didn’t get too many smiles out of her. We had gotten some frost the day of their February session and it made the homestead look so pretty! We grabbed a couple family photos outside to take advantage of that, and then finished up in the studio! This is the sweetest family ever, it’s been fun getting to know them throughout Claire’s first year!
